St. Margaret’s School in Tappahannock sent 25 seniors in the class of 2018 on their way rejoicing Monday, following their 95th annual commencement exercises.
Hillary Pugh Kent, vice president of Al Pugh Distributing Company of Warsaw, gave the commencement address.
“St. Margaret’s has given you the tools to be successful. Don’t be afraid to use them. St. Margaret’s has given you the resources to do more than just dream about opportunities. Don’t just be dreamers. Be doers.” said Kent, an alumna of St. Margaret’s from the class of 1999.
“St. Margaret’s girls know who they are, what they can do and how to do it,” reported head of school Catherine M. Sgroi. “We are very excited for the class of 2018 and the achievements they made during their time at St. Margaret’s. We look forward to seeing what they will do from here and we have faith they will make great things happen for themselves and our world.”
Members of the graduating class of 2018 include Yiwen Zheng, Tran Hoang Khanh Linh, Catherine Payne, Maria Ogg, Heather McMahon, Christine Johnson, Amaiyah Herndon, Jaleh Javadpour, Lissel Mason, Khailan O’Connor, Laura Pace, Sara Pierce and Alicia Turner.
