White Stone Church of the Nazarene, 57 Whisk Drive, White Stone, will welcome Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoebox recipient, Elizabeth Henry, to their Shoebox Showcase event on Sunday, August 6.
The event, from 6 to 8 p.m., will start with a cookout, followed by Henry’s amazing story. There also will be informational tables on OCC and the shoebox program, how to pack a box and easy crafts to make for shoeboxes.
“We are so excited to be able to host Elizabeth and to be able to invite the community to come and hear her story,” said event coordinator Cathy Smith.
Henry was born and raised in Eastern Ukraine.
