The Rappahannock Concert Association will present solo pianist Alpin Hong in concert at 7:30 p.m. April 7 at the Northumberland County Schools Performing Arts Theater, 201 Academic Lane, Heathsville.
Hong is a native of Michigan. He made his orchestral debut with the Kalamazoo Symphony at age 10, reported public relations chairman Nellie Landrum. He moved to Los Angeles and won the 1989 Stravinsky Piano Competition, the 1993 Southern Youth Music Festival Competition and the 1994 Los Angeles Spotlight Awards Competition. He also won the Concert Artists Guild Competition in 2001.
