Beverly F. Beane

MISKIMON—Beverly Forrester Beane, 77, of Miskimon passed away on August 3, 2018.

She was born July 22, 1941, in Upper Marlboro, Md., and was a graduate of Northumberland High School and Rappahannock Community College.

Beverly was a teacher’s assistant and substitute teacher in the Lancaster County School System for 25 years. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and a volunteer with the River Road Food Pantry.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, B. Tucker Beane; son, Richard Hunter Beane II and wife, Amy Biddlecomb Beane of Sampsons Wharf; grandson, Richard Hunter Beane III; and sister, Jeanette F. Robbins of Ocala, Fla.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, at Corrottoman Baptist Church, 48 Ottoman Ferry Road, Lancaster. Interment followed at 3 p.m. at the Beane Cemetery, Miskimon. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 7 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Virginia, P.O. Box 2098, Tappahannock 22560; or the River Road Food Pantry, 5940 White Chapel Road, Lancaster 22503.

Pallbearers were Straughan Beane, Ed Cockrell, Gene Forrester, Tommy Haynie, Thomas Gene Haynie, Charles Swann, Syd Swann, Michael Callis and Ben Pruett.
