KILMARNOCK—Motorists passing by Dream Fields in Kilmarnock this summer may have noticed a painting on the back of a dugout facing Irvington Road. The 4’x 8’ painting represents a “labor of love” by Bill Mitchell of Kilmarnock.
Mitchell, who owns Mitchell Signs in Irvington, credits artist Glenda Brown as his inspiration. Mitchell’s wife gave him a print by Brown depicting five young baseball players sitting on a bench, apparently waiting to enter the game or bat. They’re chatting and watching the game.
