Charlton to lead advancement team at Christchurch School


Head of school John E. “JEB” Byers recently announced the appointment of Wesley M. Charlton as the new director of advancement at Christchurch School.

Charlton will lead the offices of admissions, development, alumni relations, communications and publications, reported Jennifer Homer.  A 2001 alumnus of the school, he will take up his new duties in May.

Charlton succeeds Randal E. Brown, who has accepted the position of head of school at Worcester Preparatory Academy in Berlin, Md.

Charlton has been an attorney with Dunton, Simmons and Dunton for the past several years, and named by Super Lawyers magazine as a Rising Star, an honor accorded only a small percentage of attorneys under age 40.

He also has served on multiple boards and as town attorney for Irvington…
