Colonial Beach upsets Lancaster girls, 44-40

Kennedy Muse and Jordan McGinnis combined for 35 points as Colonial Beach brought Lancaster’s unbeaten winning streak to a halt last Friday night in varsity girls basketball.

The host Drifters took a seven-point lead in the first half and stayed in front to upset the Lady Devils, 44-40. The Lady Devils are now 12-1.

McGinnis scored five points and T. Ruezynski four in the first quarter when CB led the visitors by a bucket, 12-10, but the Drifters held LHS to a five-point second quarter with three points from Skylar Sawyer and a field goal from Harmony Taylor to go up 22-15 at the break…
