Curtis S. Price

LANCASTER—Curtis Stephen “Steve” Price, 72, of Lancaster passed away on December 25, 2017, at his home after a long battle with prostate cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Yvonne Madison Price; nephew, Jay Phillip Kinlaw; great nephews, William Tyler Kinlaw and Gerald Scott Kinlaw of Charlottesville; half sister, Helen Lovell of Ojai, Calif.; and a number of cousins from the East to the West Coast.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Henry Price and Ruby Lee Clements Price; sister, Joyce Anne Price Kinlaw-Marsh; and an infant brother, Phillip Warren Price.

Steve retired from the U. S. Postal Service after 36 years of service. He served in many positions and was most proud as postmaster of Colonial Beach and thereafter postmaster for Lancaster.

He was very proud of his Masonic fraternity having spent 41 years in the craft with one year each as worshipful master of Fork Union Lodge No. 127, of Colonial Beach Lodge No. 199 and of Lancaster Union Lodge No. 88 in Kilmarnock.

Steve was an avid pet lover and cherished his canines, Penelope, Churchill, Wallis and Faith.

Family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. prior to a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 13, at Corrottoman Baptist Church, Ottoman.
