Deadline extended for Author Expo

The deadline has been extended to May 28 for the 2018 Kilmarnock Author Expo. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 7 at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.

The keynote speaker will be John DeDakis, award-winning former journalist, CNN senior copy editor and mystery writer, reported Ann Eichenmuller.

The event will include workshops geared to writers and non-writers and a children’s story hour, said Eichenmuller.

The event is sponsored by the Writers’ Guild of Virginia and Sisters in Crime-Central Virginia. Admission is free to the public.

Authors interested in participating may rent a table for $30 or a half-table for $20. To reserve a spot, contact Dave Cariens at or call 435-7065.
