WEEMS—Florida Elizabeth Edwards Conkle, 86, of Weems and Sandston passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the home of her daughter, Angela Wade in Sandston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William C. and Julia D. Edwards; sister and brother-in-law, Bessie and John Rice Sr.; and her husband, Richard L. Conkle, SMSGT, USAF.
Florida leaves behind a close family of siblings, William C. and Ina Edwards Jr., Ellen E. Conkle, and Shirley E. and Harry Vermilyea. She also is survived by her children, Angela C. and Everett Wade, II, Bruce and Paula Conkle, Richard and Patsy Conkle; her treasured grandchildren, Julie (Rob), Aaron (Tonya), Mittchell, Scott, Liz, D. J. , Everett, III, Shannon and Josh; and her love of two great grandchildren, Olivia Conkle and Kaeden Elam.
Memorial services were held at 2 p. m. Wednesday, March 14, at Historic White Marsh Church. Interment was be private. Family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev. John Farmer officiated.
