LANCASTER—The Lancaster board of supervisors will conduct a public hearing today, October 26, on a proposed amendment to the capital improvement budget (CIB).
Supervisors will meet at 7 p.m. at the County Administration Building, 8311 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster.
If approved, the amendment would move $2 million from the CIB for fiscal year 2019 to fiscal year 2018, for the purpose of constructing an emergency medical services/emergency operations center.
The center has been the focus of community debate mostly because of the cost involved, which originally exceeded $3.1 million. Supervisors agreed to reduce the building’s footprint and build the facility on county land next to the courthouse.
