Irvington Farmers Market to offer fall produce, plants

Pumpkins, apples, sweet potatoes, squash, green beans, fall greens and mums will make a welcome appearance at the October 7 Irvington Farmers Market. The market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Irvington Commons, 98 King Carter Drive, Irvington.

In addition to produce and plants, the market will offer more than 70 arts and crafts, meat, bread, jam, honey, soap and food vendors, reported Lucy Schneider of the Irvington Village Improvement Association.

The market will welcome new vendors including a decoy maker, photographer, copper wall art maker and textural painter who paints on reclaimed wood.

Old Quarter Lamb Farm of Lottsburg will offer a variety of frozen retail cuts and Byrd’s Seafood Co. will offer fried oyster tacos.

Singer/songwriter Robbie Kerns of Gloucester will provide entertainment from the gazebo. Kerns performs his acoustic compositions of classic rock, blues and original songs.

The Irvington Farmers Market is sponsored by the Irvington Village Improvement Association.
