LOTTSBURG—Jennie C. Winegar, 90, of Lottsburg passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017. Jennie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved the outdoors and was a talented cake baker. She and her husband of 71 years retired and moved to Virginia from Delaware in 1983. Jennie also was a member of the Eastern Star- Mizpah Chapter in Delaware.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gordon F. Winegar; daughter, Denise Murphy-Horton (James); brother, Sam Buccio (Debbie); sister, Mary Nicoletti; grandchildren, Gordon F. Winegar III (Stephanie) and Elissa Winegar (James), and four great-grandchildren, James, Aaron, Gavin and Olivia.
Jennie is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Josephine Buccio; son, Gordon F. Winegar Jr.; brother, Joseph Buccio; sisters, Pauline Selvaggio, Margaret Bunitsky and Sophie Ellis.
Family will receive friends at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, with the memorial service following at 2 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home-Marks Chapel, 10300 Richmond Road, Warsaw, VA 22572.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Tappahannock Hospice, 618 Hospital Road, Tappahannock, VA 22560.
