Joyce Family pet care tradition continues

Allison Joyce is continuing in the tradition of her father and veterinarian, Dr LaMance Joyce. She spends her days, weekends and many evenings caring for the four-legged members of the community.

Allison and her sister, Erin Joyce, recently inherited Bayside Animal Hospital and Bayside Pet Emporium, 80 Whisk Drive, White Stone. Dr. Joyce died in June 2016 and Allison moved back to Lancaster County from Florida in October 2016 to be a hands-on manager of the business. Erin attends Florida State University.

“A lot of people don’t realize we’re still here,” said Allison. “When my dad passed away, this was his life. Even when he was as sick as he was, he still made it work.”

Dr. Joyce founded Bayside Animal Hospital with his wife, Elizabeth, in 1987 and later expanded to include the emporium with grooming and boarding services…
