Lancaster Band Day to conclude with concert

The Lancaster Band Booster event helps raise funds to support the Lancaster High School and Lancaster Middle School band programs, said LMS band director Kenny Flester.

High school band students will be posted in front of businesses around the county accepting donations. Times will be from 9 a.m.-noon and 2-5 p.m.

“The community has always been wonderful in their show of support for our bands. As a way of thanking them for all the support they have given us, we will be having a free concert,” said Flester.

The concert will be held at Town Centre Park, 15 North Main Street, Kilmarnock. The LMS combined seventh and eighth grade band will perform first, followed by the LHS Red Devils Marching Band. “It will be a very fun performance and I hope to see everyone there.”

The LHS band will compete in April 2019 at the FiestaVal music festival in Atlanta, Ga.
