Lancaster County Circuit Court Report

LANCASTER—Judge R. Michael McKenney presided over Lancaster County Circuit Court on December 6 and 9.

Marvel Alterick Rice of Kilmarnock pled guilty to felony distribution of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 10 years, with all but two years and one month suspended. His driver’s license was suspended for six months and he will be placed on two years’ supervised probation once released. A second similar offense was nolle prosequi.

The case of Ronyece M. Turpin of Warsaw, scheduled for trial on probation violation on a felony conviction, was again continued to April 28, 2017. She was arrested October 28 after she failed to appear in court on numerous occasions.

The case of Jerevon R. Henderson of Lancaster, charged with violation of probation on a felony conviction, was continued for a third time. His review was continued to January 27.

The case of Kevin Lovelle Rich of White Stone was under review for a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. After a year with a clean record, the case was dismissed.

Lisa Gail Schell of White Stone was scheduled for an appeal hearing on a misdemeanor DWI, first offense. The appeal was withdrawn.

Lakia Nichelle Cockrell of Lancaster withdrew an appeal on a first offense misdemeanor DWI.
