LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened July 20 with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.
The case of Tyrone M. Waddy of Burgess, charged with a felony probation violation, was continued to September 21.
The case of Christopher E. Pack of Lancaster, charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession, was continued to August 17.
The case of Judson N. McGuire of Irvington, charged with a felony and misdemeanor probation violation, was continued for trial August 3.
The case of Desiree G. McGee of Chesapeake, charged with two felonies of grand larceny and failing to appear, was not prosecuted at the time of trial.
The case of Kenyan L. Watson of Chesapeake, charged with two felonies of grand larceny and failing to appear, was not prosecuted at the time of trial on the grand larceny charge. The failing to appear charge was dismissed.
The case of Dexter O. Sutton of Heathsville, charged with two felonies of strangulation and entering a house to commit assault and battery, was dismissed. He also was charged with three misdemeanors of assault and battery on a family member and pled not guilty, but was found guilty and sentenced to 24 months with 10 months suspended. He also was charged with two other misdemeanors of destruction of property with intent and damaging a phone line to prevent calling 911, and those charges were dismissed.
The case of Josaline Murphy of Lancaster, charged with a felony of not complying with a pre-trial release, was continued to August 3.
The case of Jerod S. Gamble of Hampton, charged with two felonies of selling or providing resale of a Schedule I/II drug, was continued for trial November 16.
The case of Kenneth B. Jackson of Topping, charged with a felony and misdemeanor of failing to appear, was not prosecuted at the time of trial. He also was charged with two felony probation violations, which were continued for review on November 16.
