Lancaster High School graduates 87

There’s nothing like a graduation to bring family and community together. It’s a time to celebrate the achievements of the next generation and the hard work of everyone—friends, family, teachers and staff. It indeed takes a village to help the graduates cross the finish line and walk across the stage to accept their diplomas.

The importance of that human connection was evident throughout the speeches at Lancaster High School’s graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 15. Some 87 graduates received diplomas.

Class president Blake Smith thanked the class of 2019 “for making me a better person and for making the community a better place.” He said that “while our individual lives may seem separate, the reality is that we are all connected for life,” and he asked the graduates to “stay connected with the people next to you…
