Untitled Page A funeral service for retired Lt. Col. Wallace D. Redman, 93, of Heathsville will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 23, at the Jones-Ash Funeral Home in Rainswood. Burial will follow at St. Stephen's Anglican Church in Heathsville with an honors service by the Reedville American Legion. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 22, at the funeral home.

A funeral service for Louise Carter Ward, 90, of White Stone will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 20, at White Stone Baptist Church in White Stone. Interment will be in Corrottoman Baptist Cemetery, Ottoman. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 19, at the Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Mrs. Ward died Tuesday, November 17, 2009.

A funeral service for Martin Strebel, 99, of Kilmarnock, formerly of Salem and Deltaville, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 21, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Saluda. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the funeral. A reception will be held afterward at the home of Bruce and Jacqueline Strebel. Entombment will be at 2 p.m. Monday, November 23, in Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem. Mr. Strebel died on November 9, 2009. 

An informal gathering to celebrate the life of Albert James (A.J.) Carter, 91, of Lancaster will be held at Eastview, the home of Jamie and C.J. Carter, on November 21, between 2 and 5 p.m. Mr. Carter died on Thursday, October 29, 2009.

A graveside service and interment with full military honors for Charles McKinley Smith, Captain, USN (Ret.) of Lancaster will be held 1 p.m. December 30 at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington. Capt. Smith died Sunday, October 4, 2009.
