HEATHSVILLE—Lawrence Swann Hardwicke, 70, of Heathsville went to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

A 32nd degree Mason of 46 years, he belonged to many Lodges and his home Lodge was Henrico Union #130. Lawrence was a 24-year veteran of the United States Navy and he served during three tours in Vietnam.

He was a NAPA store owner, loved racing cars at various tracks, and he loved to fly his Cessna T210 whenever he could.

Lawrence was a good friend to many and loved his church, pastor, and his church family. May he find peace and happiness in the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ.

Lawrence is survived by his wife and best friend of 37 years, Carol Belle Hardwicke; sons, Lawrence Swann “Buddy” Hardwicke Jr., Michael Lawrence Hardwicke, Robert Eugene Hardwicke, and his wife, Ida, and Joseph Meredith Hardwicke; his brother, Chelf Willis “Bo” Hardwicke Jr.; his aunt, Peggy O’Brien; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many good friends.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m.Wednesday, April 17, at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 18, in Bluff Point United Methodist Church at 2551 Bluff Point Road, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow in White Marsh Cemetery, Lancaster.
