KILMARNOCK—Lancaster High School principal Butch Gross will resign at the end of the semester, January 23, to take the position of principal at the Northern Neck Technical Center in Warsaw.
Members of the Lancaster school board accepted his letter of resignation following a closed session on December 4.
The whole board is disappointed he will be leaving, however, it presents an opportunity to encourage more high school students to participate in classes offered at the technical center, said school board chairman Audrey Thomasson.
