The Light of Christ Anglican Church, 9500 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, will offer an Alpha series beginning at 5:30 p.m. September 11.
“Everyone has questions about life, faith and what’s important. The Alpha series is designed to inspire conversation around the basics of Christianity. We believe everyone should have the chance to explore the Christian faith and we invite community residents to join us,” said the Rev. Mike Moffitt, rector.
Each Alpha session will begin with a meal, include a short teaching talk and a small group discussion to share thoughts and ideas on the day’s topic in a friendly, safe and respectful way, said Rev. Moffitt. Weekly talks will look at questions around faith, the Holy Spirit and resisting evil.
“Alpha invites people to be themselves and even disagree without being ridiculed. We trust God to open up our minds and hearts to his word,” he said.
Alpha is free and open to all interested adults. However, pre-registration is requested. Call 580-4555.
