Museum to host Christmas on Cockrell’s Creek event

Christmas on Cockrell’s Creek will be held from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, December 10, to benefit the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum, 504 Main Street, Reedville.

Preceding the event, Santa will arrive aboard the Elva C. at 9 a.m. at the RFM dock, reported committee chairman Jennifer Bramblet. Children’s activities and photos with Santa will follow at Bethany UMC, 454 Main Street, Reedville.

The event will feature a home tour, said Bramblet. Tour tickets are $25 in advance, or $30 on tour day. To purchase advance tickets, visit the museum, or call 453-6529.

Other activities will include tablescapes, a bake sale, RFM tours and artisans bazaar, said Bramblet. The RFM gift shop also will be open.

The lighting of the Reedville Christmas tree on Main Street, Reedville, will take place at 5:30 p.m.

Bramblet thanked Northern Neck Electric Cooperative, Omega Protein, Aqua Virginia, Jude Kelly and Betty Nuckols for contributing to the event.
