Northumberland County Circuit Court Report

HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened June 5, with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.

Kyre L. Dade of Heathsville, charged with two counts of the sale and distribution of marijuana, was appointed an attorney and the trial is set for June 19.

Lacey R. Michalak, charged with two felonies including child abuse/disregard of life and the sale and distribution of Schedule III drugs, was appointed a new lawyer after her previously appointed attorney revealed a conflict of interest.

A $5,000 bond was issued for Nathaniel J. Turner, charged with the manufacturing of controlled substances. His trial date is set for September 4.

Jennifer Vanlandingham of Lottsburg, who was convicted of forgery and petit larceny in 2011, filed a motion with the court to have the court costs reduced or put on a payment plan. The motion was continued to June 19.
