Oktoberfest Festival steeped in family fun

The annual Oktoberfest Festival last Saturday on the grounds of the White Stone Volunteer Fire Department (WSVFD) in White Stone saw good crowds and great family fun. The festival was presented by the White Stone Business Association (WSBA) and WSVFD.

The event featured the ACCA Temple Sauerkraut German band, the Hirschjaeger Bavarian dancers, a classic car show with approximately 50 cars, 38 vendors, food and beverages by the WSVFD, face painting by Union Bank and a kids costume contest, reported event organizer Jeff Cherry.

The festival 50/50 raffle was won by John and Merrill Grasso, who graciously donated their winnings to the WSVFD, said Cherry.
