On Stage 25th anniversary season to open with Richmond Symphony

Chia-Hsuan Lin, associate conductor of the Richmond Symphony, will lead the 59-member orchestra at 3:30 p.m. September 30, at Lancaster Middle School Theater. The concert will mark the opening of the Rappahannock Foundation for the Art’s On Stage 25th Anniversary Celebration Season.

The Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts 25th Silver Anniversary Season will open to a rousing concert of orchestral classics, Broadway favorites, Hollywood film scores and memorable jazz performed by the Richmond Symphony.

The concert at 3:30 p.m. September 30 at the Lancaster Middle School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock, will feature works by some of America’s favorite composers—Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, John Williams, George Gershwin and Duke Ellington.

“The Richmond Symphony will kick us into celebration gear, with some booming marches, some epic movie scores, some up-tempo jazz and much more,” said president Jamie Tucker. “I can’t think of a better way to get this 25th anniversary party started…
