Point to Point Home Services earns NHWA Accredited Member status

Point to Point Home Services in Callao has earned Accredited Member status from the National Home Watch Association.

The  NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the U.S. and Canada, reported Faith Luber, administration and membership coordinator. Home Watch is a service that “keeps an eye on things” at your vacation or primary home while you are not in residence.

Having owned a second home in the Northern Neck for more than 10 years while living in Northern Virginia during the week, owners Karen and Jim Burch know the value of having someone who can keep an eye on things and lend a hand when needed. That’s why they established a business providing comprehensive Home Watch and other services for second home owners in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula.

As second-home owners living more than two hours away from their weekend retreat, they know first-hand how easy it is to get home on Sunday night and wonder if they locked all the doors, turned off the lights, pulled the kayak far enough ashore to keep it from being pulled away with the tide and tied down the boat.

They provide the trusted, reliable service their customers expect, so they can have peace of mind when they’re not able to spend time at a second home.

Karen and Jim Burch have family in the Northern Neck, and both have worked in real estate previously. She also has worked as a real estate settlement and title insurance agent. Both have run successful businesses and worked in other professions before opening Point to Point Home Services.

They have two children. Their oldest attends Virginia Tech and their youngest in his last year of high school.

Point to Point Home Services serves Westmoreland, Northumberland, Richmond, Essex, Lancaster, Middlesex and Gloucester counties.
