The Rappahannock Art League (RAL) recently announced its special events for April.
The events will be held at the Studio Gallery, 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, reported Barbara Pulling of the communications committee.
A new exhibit, Beauty in Bloom, will feature original works of art in a variety of mediums submitted by RAL members, said Pulling.
A reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. April 7 for Beauty in Bloom and an Arts & Flowers display. Light refreshments will be served.
Arts & Flowers display, inspired by the RAL Gallery painting and created by area garden club floral designers, is not to be missed, said Pulling. In addition to all this botanical beauty, there will be a fun scavenger hunt related to the evening’s theme and a “Quick Paint” artist’s demonstration involving flowers.
There also will be a special free drawing for guests, she said. The drawing will be held at 6 p.m. for a chance to win a beautiful watercolor by RAL artist Linda Goldstein.
The Beauty in Bloom exhibit will continue through April. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
