WEEMS—Ralph A. Glascoe, 85, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on September 25, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Merry Glascoe; daughters, Cherilynn Bennett and Merrylynn Mozingo; sons-in-law, James Bennett and John Mozingo; grandson, Jeremy Allen Bennett (predeceased on March 6, 2017); granddaughters, Merrybeth Mozingo,  Stephanie Cook (Gary), Amy Kennedy (Darin); great-grandchildren Lucas, Logan, Aubrey, Bella, Tessa, Jacob, Lincoln and Karli; and sister, Carol Burdorf.

Ralph was full of life and loved his family deeply. He was born in Washington, D.C.; raised in Phoenix, Ariz.; returned to D.C. after graduating high school to attend the University of Maryland; met the love of his life, Merry; married and started a family.

He enjoyed horseback riding, tennis, bowling, singing and gardening.

Ralph was married to his beloved wife, Merry, for 63 years and raised two beautiful daughters in Forestville, Md. Ralph retired from the Washington Gas Light Company after 39 years of service as the credit manager and spent the next 29 years in LaPlata, Md.  Two years ago, Ralph and Merry moved to Weems and joined Kilmarnock United Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 7, at Kilmarnock United Methodist Church. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to: Kilmarnock United Methodist Church, The Jeremy Allen Bennett Memorial Fund.
