The varsity Red Devils have a reputation as the team to beat and coach Tim Rice and his team of seven seniors and five juniors are up for the challenge.
“We are excited about the season and we know teams will come after us since we are accustomed to advancing to the state,” said Rice. “And we cannot just think we can show up on game nights to get back there.”
Lancaster has become a Group 1A boys basketball powerhouse over the last decade, with a state championship under its belt, a return to the finals in 2016 and a semifinal finish in 2017.
