WEEMS—Robert S. Whittington, 76, of Weems passed away on March 11, 2018. He was a member of Claybrook Baptist Church and he served as a deacon.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Whittington; daughters, Cynthia W. Lester and Elizabeth M. Whittington; three grandchildren, Jessica Lester, Evan Lester and Payton Jablonowski; a sister, Carolyn Poteat (Tom) and his beloved pets, Max, Colby, Jinks and Callie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R. J. and Mildred Whittington.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Claybrook Baptist Church, Weems. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
