HEATHSVILLE—Roger N. Koren, 82, of Heathsville passed away on March 13, 2018. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy B. Koren; daughters, Jennifer L. Petchenick (Stewart) and Judith A. Guard (Christopher); five grandchildren, Ryan, Brett and Kathryn Petchenick and Hailey and Christopher Guard; sisters, Suzanne Lowe and Doris Burge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Koren was a graduate of the American University in Washington, D.C. He spent most of his professional career as a Physicist for the Department of Defense. After retirement, he taught mathematics at Northern Virginia Community College and Rappahannock Community College.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
