The Rappahannock River Yacht Club will host a women’s sailing clinic at 2 p.m. on May 14 and 21.
This event is open to women 14 years of age and older, reported news director Tom Wicks. The clinic is open to beginner, intermediate and advanced sailors and is designed to increase knowledge and confidence in sailing.
Women will be paired in teams of two along with a coach and will sail aboard Cape Dory Typhoons, said Wicks.
Typhoons, known as 18-foot “pocket yachts” are the ideal boat to learn on as they are stable and comfortable boats, he said.
