Series 62 to open ‘Music by the River’

Series 62 will open the 2017 Music by the River concert series Saturday, May 13, at Belle Isle State Park, 1632 Mary Ball Road. Lancaster. The concert, hosted by the Friends of Belle Isle, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the picnic area.

The three-piece band from Harrisonburg tours throughout the U.S. and plays primarily rock and roll from the 1960s to the present, reported committee co-chairman Robert Mason Jr.

Band members include 14-year-old prodigy Max Togle on drums; his dad Marc Togle on bass and vocals; and Jeff Crozier on lead guitar and vocals.

Picnics are welcome and there will be supervised activities for the children. A limited number of picnic tables will be available. Bring lawn chairs or blankets.

There will be free popcorn. Cold soft drinks and bottled water will be available for a minimal price.

The concert is free thanks to the generosity of season sponsors; however, there is a $4 parking fee payable at the park entrance.
