Sheriffs’ reports 12-06-18

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against five individuals.

Felonies

Lashay Monique Dameron, 35, of 51 Little Branch Road, Lancaster, was charged November 27 with maliciously stab, cut, or wound with intent to maim, disfigure, disable, or kill.

Gary Riddell Rich, 53, of 1468 Irvington Road, Weems, was charged December 1 with abduction by threat or force, unlawful wounding, and damage to phone or phone line to prevent the summoning of law enforcement.

Misdemeanors

A Gaskins Road man, 24, was charged November 26 with driving while license is revoked and reckless driving.

A Fox Hill Drive man, 44, was charged November 29 with assault.

A Goodluck Road woman, 18, was charged November 29 with assault and disorderly conduct in a public building.

Activity report

November 26: Staff responded to Lampkin Lane to assist the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) with a fight in progress, to the 20800 block of Mary Ball Road for a trespasser, to a walk-in report of threatening text messages, to the 140 block of Weems Road for an assault, to the 8600 block of Mary Ball Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 2000 block of Weems Road for suspicious activity, to the 6700 block of Mary Ball Road for an overturned vehicle crash, and to the 4000 block of Black Stump Road to investigate the reported theft of construction tools such as several power nailers, 20-gallon air compressor, carpet stretcher and a metal brake.

November 27: Staff responded to the 200 block of Taylors Creek Road to check the welfare of a resident after receiving a report from a family member that they were unable to contact.

November 28: Staff responded to the 8800 block of Mary Ball Road for a fight in progress involving juveniles, and to the 400 block of Gilbert Street to assist the Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a possible suicidal person.

November 29: Staff responded to the 9000 block of Mary Ball Road to investigate a report of child abuse, and to the 8800 block of Mary Ball Road for a fight in progress.

November 30: Staff responded to a walk-in report of an attempt to obtain money by false pretenses, to the 100 block of Clover Lane for the reported vandalism of a residence, to the 100 block of Bruce Avenue for an abandoned vehicle, to the 100 block of Pinckardsville Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 200 block of Reynolds Farm Road for a domestic dispute involving alcohol, and to the 1300 block of Irvington Road for a fight in progress.

December 1: Staff responded to a walk-in report of a domestic assault, and to the 100 block of Hatton Avenue to assist KPD with a verbal dispute and assault.

December 2: Staff responded to the 500 block of North Main Street to assist KPD with a domestic disturbance, to the 500 block of Natty Point Lane to assist NCSO with a possible burglary in progress, to the 100 block of Whisk Drive for suspicious activity, and to Lancaster/Lively on Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver.

Staff also conducted 22 traffic stops, issued nine summonses, assisted five motorists, recorded five deer strike accidents, handled six calls for traffic control, investigated nine building alarms, logged five inmate transports, received nine E911 hang-up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control.

Lancaster fire calls

The Kilmarnock and White Stone volunteer fire departments responded to smoke in a structure fire on Irvington Road.

The Kilmarnock VFD also responded to a traffic crash at Kent Point and Prentice Creek roads and to a fire/smoke alarm on Heatherfield Court.

Lancaster EMS calls

For November 25-December 1, the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad and Lancaster County Emergency Services responded to 53 calls for service including 25 medical emergencies, 13 injuries, three traffic accidents, a fire and 11 other calls.

Northumberland County Sheriff James R. “Doc” Lyons this week reported charges against five individuals.

Felonies

Roger Allen Wood Jr. (no age given) of King George was charged November 26 with violating a protective order by stalking. He also was charged with a misdemeanor stalking warrant. These Northumberland warrants were served by King George County Sheriff’s Office.

James Benjamin Burt, 24, of Heathsville was charged November 27 with a capias to show cause.

Lacey Renea Edwards-Michalak, 27, of Callao was charged November 30 with two counts of felony shoplifting, third-plus offense.

Misdemeanors

A Petersburg man, 32, was charged November 24 on a capias/attachment of the body from the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court with violating his pre-trial services.

A Heathsville man, 62, was charged November 27 on a capias/attachment of the body with failing to appear in Northumberland County General District Court.
