HEATHSVILLE—Walter Frank “Tink” Seymour, 73, peacefully went home to the Lord on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at his home in Heathsville.

Tink was born in Arlington to Frank W. Seymour and Ruth V. Shaw Seymour. He spent his professional life in sales, including owning his own business on two different occasions.

Tink married the love of his life, Carol Miller Seymour, in 1970 and they enjoyed over 45 years together before Carol’s passing in 2016.

Tink is survived by his beloved son, Matthew W. Seymour of Lorton; his sister, Patricia Seymour Hewitt (Jim) of Woodbridge; his nephew, Patrick S. Arthurs (Mary) of King George; two nieces, Nancy Miller and Jennifer Hansen of Woodbridge; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; his best friend, Ray Herzig; and his devoted dog, Harry.

Tink was predeceased by his parents and wife, as well as his niece, Robin Gomez.

An incredible storyteller, Tink loved life. He will be remembered for his love and loyalty to his friends and family, his kind and generous nature, and his love of animals.

In 2002, Tink and Carol retired to the Northern Neck, where they built their dream home along the Potomac River. A member of Living Water Lutheran Church in Kilmarnock, Tink was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Callao.

A memorial service and celebration of life for Tink will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 22, at Living Water Lutheran Church in Kilmarnock. Pastor Bob Maier will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, Tink would ask that you send donations to the Northumberland County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 305, Heathsville, VA 22473.

Welch Funeral Home of Warsaw handled the arrangements.
