Washington’s Birthplace to host two special events

On July 22, George Washington Birthplace National Monument will host an encampment and firing demonstration by two elite reenactment groups: His Majesty’s Marines and the 5th Battalion, Cumberland County Militia.

The encampment will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and musket firing demonstrations will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
