The Westmoreland Players will welcome back one of their own this weekend, as George Steeves returns to make his East Coast debut in his award winning one man show, “Magic 8 Ball.”
The show will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at the Westmoreland Players Theatre, 16217 Richmond Road, Callao. Tickets are $15 each. For reservations, call 529-9345.
“Magic 8 Ball” details the struggles and tribulations of a sincere, likeable, talented and motivated young actor/singer who is challenged daily by Asperger’s Syndrome, reported board member Dr. Tommy Neuman.
It was acting and theatre that allowed him to leave his shell and become an award winning actor, says Steeves. His first theatre role was in “Oliver” with the Westmoreland Players in the 1990s….
