“I was over the moon!”
That is how Kathy Broderick said she felt walking into the Northern Neck Family YMCA’s Monroe Family Aquatic Center during the January 11 Lancaster High School swim meet—their first home event.
“I could have cried. I was so thrilled,” said Broderick. “After so many years of wanting a pool, the dream had finally become a reality. And I’m so grateful I was able to contribute to making it happen. To see the scoreboard and the timing system in use, and more importantly, to see the young people from our local high school swimming in their ‘home’ pool, it just got to me.
