LANCASTER—It seems like just yesterday graduates were walking down the aisle, but it’s back to school time already for 1,136 Lancaster students. The first day of school is Tuesday, September 3, and teachers and staff have been busy preparing classrooms and lesson plans for weeks.
New teachers were officially welcomed last week during the Quality Teacher Induction Program and an open house took place Wednesday, August 28, at all three schools, offering students and families an opportunity to meet their teachers and tour their classrooms.
Superintendent Dan Russell said he is “excited about having all the staff back and we’re all anxiously awaiting the return of our students and building on the successes of last year.”
This school year promises to be “an exciting one” for the Lancaster community according to Russell. “Our preliminary scores show that all three schools are accredited once again, two of them fully. We’re proud of our students and staff and we know it’s going to be a great year.”
