Bon Secours to require workers to have COVID-19 vaccinations

Bon Secours on Thursday, September 2, announced it will require its Richmond area workers to be vaccinated. This includes Rappahannock General Hospital in Kilmarnock.

A related Bon Secours media advisory noted, “Bon Secours is committed to helping to improve health and well-being of the communities we serve through the delivery of quality care. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread through our communities, our priority is to protect our associates, providers, patients and their families, loved ones and our community.

 “Last Monday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted full approval to the first COVID-19 vaccine. The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, to be marketed under the name Comirnaty, is approved for the prevention of COVID-19 in people 16 years of age and older.
