Celtic services are set for the summer at Historic Christ Church

The Grace Episcopal Church Celtic planning committee recently announced Celtic services for the summer beginning at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at Historic Christ Church, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems.

All are welcome for these contemplative services which reflect on simplicity, inner renewal and groundedness, reported parish administrator Bett Harrison.

The theme for the upcoming service is Father’s Day, and will feature a reflection by associate rector the Rev. Jeff Patnaude. The topic will be “You just wait until your father gets home.”

Other features of the June 11 service include readings from John O’Donohue, John Philip Newell and the Carmina Gadelica. Meditative silence is integrally woven into the fabric of this contemplative service and the traditional music invites centeredness and inner reflection.
