Centennial Project Grant supports improvements at Belle Isle State Park

LANCASTER—The Garden Club of the Northern Neck (GCNN) has been awarded a $10,300 Centennial Project Grant from the Garden Club of Virginia (GCV). The grant will help fund beautification, restoration and educational improvements at Belle Isle State Park in Lancaster County.

The funding will help to make possible the third phase of the park’s Belle Isle Awakening, a five-year partnership launched in 2016 between GCNN and Belle Isle State Park to interpret, present and promote the park’s history and natural wonder—spanning 5,000 years of human habitation—to the widest possible audience…
