Will McNeely has had some sleepless nights recently and he’s not happy about it.

“I’m a tree hugger,” said McNeely of Irvington.

“It just pisses me off to say I’m in violation of this [Chesapeake Bay Preservation] act,” he added. “I’ve been losing a lot of sleep over this.”

McNeely and his wife, Christine, who recently purchased property at 167 Chase’s Cove in Irvington, were before the Irvington Town Council during a special meeting called for February 14 to defend storm damage cleanup taking place on their property.

“I feel like I’ve been ambushed,” he said.
