Chesapeake focuses on ‘pursuing excellence’ as annual school theme

Chesapeake Academy’s social/ethical curriculum is specific, sequenced and focused on developing the strong interpersonal, social and character skills necessary to building active and positive citizens in today’s communities.

This curriculum begins with the school’s youngest students and stretches throughout the school, said head of school Julianne T. Duvall. One facet of this school-wide curriculum is the annual character theme. Each year a single trait becomes the focus of year-long study and development.
