At a recent ceremony in Chesapeake Academy’s Middle School, students solemnly pledged on their honor to uphold the Chesapeake Academy Honor Code as they publicly signed the honor board.
The student council is responsible for promoting and explaining the honor code to the student body, and they lead the process, reported head of school Julianne T. Duvall.
The honor code promotes honesty, respect, citizenship and integrity within the student community. This code of honor serves as the underlying principle which all students are expected to observe and respect, said Duvall.
A signing ceremony is held at the beginning of each school year for all middle school students.
