Santa will arrive in historic Reedville at 9 a.m. December 9 aboard the Elva C, a historic workboat that belongs to the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum.
Children of all ages are invited to greet Santa when he arrives at the museum dock and then walk over to Bethany UMC where kids can sit on his lap and have their picture taken, enjoy stories, games and have refreshments, reported museum executive director Lee Langston-Harrison.
There will be other surprises in store for kids this morning, added Langston-Harrison.
Christmas on Cockrell’s Creek, the RFM two-day house tour will follow, she said. The homes, lavishly decorated by homeowners and members of the Chesapeake Bay Garden Club, are an interesting mix of old and new. Two of the homes have dockside service; folks can get on a boat at the RFM dock and be shuttled from house to house, as well as receive a narrated tour of Cockrell Creek.
Tickets for the annual Christmas on Cockrell’s Creek House Tour, December 9 and 10, are available at 453-6529. Tickets are $25 per person in advance or $30 on tour weekend.
