Coach Saunders looks to LHS pitching staff for leadership

Lancaster’s veteran pitchers dominated last week to lead the varsity baseball team to a pair of season-opening slaughters against West Point and Middlesex.

“It was a very impressive week by our pitching staff,” said coach Welby Saunders. “Matthew [Kleinfelter], Nick [Wohleking] and Spencer [Crittenden] looked like they are up to the challenge of leading us this season.”

Saunders and Scotty George have five seniors on their team of 11, making the Devils an upperclass-heavy team. Kleinfelter, who has committed to pitch at Division 1 James Madison University, leads a pitching staff…
