CoBank donates $2,500 to Farm Museum

The Northern Neck Farm Museum recently received a donation of $2,500 from CoBank on behalf of Russell G. Brown, a member of the cooperative bank’s board of directors.

The Northern Neck boasts a rich agricultural tradition, from Native Americans who grew maize, squash and beans, to current farmers, who plant corn, soybeans and small grains. The museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing with visitors the history of farming and forestry and the cultural impacts of those industries. Education is a primary goal of the museum and it hosts a variety of programs for students.

The donation will go toward a campaign to raise $100,000 for the construction of a classroom addition…
