On Saturday, September 13, the community gathered to celebrate the 2025 Historic Church Tour, a daylong event that highlighted the enduring legacy of 12 local Baptist churches.
With roots stretching from January 17, 1778, the tour drew history enthusiasts, families and local residents eager to explore the deep connections and stories that have shaped the region for nearly 250 years, reported Morattico Baptist Church History Committee chairman Kathy Pittman.
